Kim Viola, DPT

Physical Therapist

My name is Kim Viola and I have been a Physical Therapist for 12 years.

As a former collegiate athlete, I spent a good deal of time rehabilitating my own injuries, and was interested in gaining more knowledge to help others do the same. I graduated from UNE with a BS in Applied Exercise Science and continued on to SUNY Upstate Medical University in pursuit of my DPT.

Prior to Hurt & Co, I have spent my career working in outpatient orthopedics, specializing in sports based injuries, degenerative ailments, and post-operative rehab. I use a combination of manual therapy and progressive strengthening to aid with meeting individualized patient goals. I am certified in ASTYM, dry needling and follow many techniques from the Mulligan concept.

As a Maine native, I love the outdoors. In my free time, you will find me at a BBQ with my friends and family, chasing my kids around at the playground, swimming at the lake, or snowboarding.

What their clients are saying

Excellent facility with qualified, caring, and capable providers. Great gym facility here too, with sauna. Kim does amazing PT work, and I’ve heard Melinda has taken great care of my family members. Top notch facility and staff, great communication.

I have been to physical therapy for various injuries over the last 40 years. Many of these facilities have one physical therapist working with 4-6 clients at the same time. At Hurt & Co, you are one-on-one with your physical therapist. This philosophy allows you to communicate with your physical therapist and allows them to better understand your individual needs. My therapist was Kim Viola, who was phenomenal. I had the good fortune to meet Melinda at a powerlifting meet I was competing in. Melinda, thank you for creating a business that caters to the individual and not the masses. I will highly recommend Hurt & Co to anyone needing physical therapy.

I went to Hurt and Co after my referral for physical therapy from my Dr went to 2 other locations that couldn’t get me an appt for over 2 weeks. I hurt my leg running, and waiting even more time to even start therapy wasn’t a helpful plan. I got an appt at Hurt and Co the same week I inquired. Scheduling was easy, all online, and entering my health info was also very easy and sent to my email after they confirmed my appt. My therapist Kim was amazing, her hour long appts were always tailored to what I needed week to week, as well as the homework she gave me to complete in between sessions. She was knowledgeable, approachable, and extremely personable. I would not hesitate to go back to them for any therapy needs in the future.
